At MacGuard Security Advisors, Inc. we may collect, receive, and store any information you provide to us through our website or in other ways, including during sales, marketing, or events. We may also use software tools to measure and collect session information, including page response times, the length of visits to specific pages, page interaction data, and methods used to navigate away from the page. We collect such Non-personal and Personal Information for the following purposes:

  1. To operate and provide, improve, and administer MacGuard Security Advisors, Inc. consulting products, services and public speaking offerings;

  2. To provide our Users with necessary customer assistance and technical support;

  3. To be able to contact our Visitors and Users with general or personalized service-related notices and promotional messages;

  4. To create aggregated statistical data and other aggregated and/or inferred Non-personal Information, which we may use to provide and improve our respective products and services; 

  5. For security and fraud prevention, and to comply with any applicable laws and regulations.

  6. We may provide you with the option to register with us using your existing social media account details, like your Facebook, Twitter, or other social media account. If you choose to register in this way, we may collect information needed to maintain the security and operation of our application(s), for troubleshooting, and for our internal analytics and reporting purposes.   • Mobile Device Access. We may request access or permission to certain features from your mobile device, including your mobile device’s bluetooth, calendar, camera, own, and other features. If you wish to change our access or permissions, you may do so in your device’s settings.

  • Mobile Device Data. We may collect device information (such as your mobile device ID, model, and manufacturer), operating system, version information and system configuration information, device and application identification numbers, browser type and version, hardware model Internet service provider and/or mobile carrier, and Internet Protocol (IP) address (or proxy server). If you are using our application(s), we may also collect information about the phone network associated with your mobile device, your mobile device’s operating system or platform, the type of mobile device you use, your mobile device’s unique device ID, and information about the features of our application(s) you accessed.

 

MacGuard Security Advisors, Inc. is hosted on the Wix.com platform. Wix.com provides us with the online platform that allows us to collect form information, send email, and sell available products and services to you. Your data may be stored through Wix.com’s data storage, databases and in general Wix.com applications. They store your data on secure servers behind a firewall.  
 
All direct payment gateways offered by Wix.com and used by our company adhere to the standards set by PCI-DSS as managed by the PCI Security Standards Council, which is a joint effort of brands like Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Discover. PCI-DSS requirements help ensure the secure handling of credit card information by our company and its service providers.
 
We may contact you to notify you regarding your account, to troubleshoot problems with your account, to resolve a dispute, to collect fees or monies owed, to poll your opinions through surveys or questionnaires, to send updates or news about our company and its offerings, or as otherwise necessary to contact you to enforce any agreements that we may have with you, in regards to applicable national laws. For these purposes we may contact you via email, telephone, text messages, and/or postal mail.
 
We use cookies primarily on our site to track visitor statistics, including Wix and Google Analytics, as well as third-party apps for recommending our products and services. The General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and UK GDPR
